In this part of the docs we are explaining some basic Process Chart terms and definition.

Node

A node describes one event in a process. An event can be a production step, a shipment, a transaction, a patient visit, or any other discrete action within a sequence.

An edge is a link between nodes. It connects process events together in the order the process is executed.

Process

A process represents varying numbers of linked nodes and edges.

Node Group

A node group is a parent node that categorize multiple nodes together. It can be used to highlight a part of the process, such as outsourcing, or another related activity.
